How to fix common errors

1. Make sure you have Outlook, not Outlook Express, they are completely separate programs.
   
   
2. Try Detect and Repair from the Help menu in Outlook.
   
   
3. Try the Inbox Repair Tool - this will correct most problems with damaged Personal Folders .pst files. If you do not see the Inbox Repair Tool on the Start menu, you will need to look in the Outlook Help for "Inbox Repair Tool" to find out how to run it.
   
   
4. Try compacting your .pst: In Outlook, show the treeview of folders by clicking the down arrow next to the folder title, click the pushpin. Scroll up until you see the top level. Right click on the "Personal Folders" title. Select Properties. Click the Advanced button. Click the Compact Now button.
