Even the best web servers in the world will go down occasionally. This tool lets you monitor up to 4 web sites so that you at least know before your customers/end-users tell you!

You enter the web site address (you can specify a particular page if you wish) and a word or phrase that the web page contains. If the system can't retrieve that page, it can beep and/or send an e-mail to an address you specify. You can specify how often the sites are tested and how long you should wait for the page to respond.

To be sure it is not your Internet connection which is the problem, you can specify a Control url - this is a web site which you are confident is always available (e.g. http://www.google.com). If it can't be reached, the system assumes it is because your Internet connection is at fault so doesn't bother testing the other monitored web sites.

If you have the monitor running when you close down the program, the next time you run the program, monitor will restart automatically.
